Train
The other day, I took a different route to my home from office. There was a railway gate and I got stuch there for quite some time. I attempted Panning and succeded to some extent. I used a relatively slow shutter speed and moved the camera along with the train when the shutter was open. This implied the motion of the background while the train looks frozen. I used a 50mm lens and shot with aperture f/16 and shutter speed of 1/30s. On hindsight, I felt that 1/40s would have produced a better result. Anyway, I got lot more to learn.
Siva Thandavam
I captured this in the Chennai Sangamam event. This was a dance drama with some excellent music. The lighting, colours, costume were very attractive.
Watch Tower
This is the watch tower in a bird sactuary near the Tada backwaters. The sky was exceptionally blue that day and the watch tower painted blue mixed well with the sky
Senji Fort
Mahabalipuram
When my friend Muthiah visited us from USA with his family, we went to Mahabalipuram for a day. His two sons, standing casually near the structure, was visually appealing.
Cochin backwaters
This was taken some time back, when we spent a couple of days in Cochin. We took a cruise through the backwaters. It was a lovely experience. I understood that silence can be heard that time.
I was carrying a Point & Shoot camera only at that time. Both the images were taken in Auto mode.
This photo shows the way of life there. The way he cruised through the still waters without disturbing the stillness of the water much was really amazing.
The boatman forms a good foreground and accentuates the picturesque scene.
